NewsBeat: Philadephia Orchestra members surprise airplane passengers with impromptu concert

Members of the Philadelphia Orchestra performed on board a delayed flight from Beijing to Macao. The  quartet  included two violinists, one cellist, and one viola player.This was one captive audience.

When four members of the Philadelphia Orchestra found themselves stuck on board a delayed flight for nearly three hours, they decided to get to work.

Two violinists, a cellist and a viola player took out their instruments and sheet music, gracing passengers with a lively rendition of Antonin Dvorak’s “American” String Quartet No. 12 Finale.
