I'm uploading my cheat-sheet version of the Voila 1 arrangement. It's handy for the sheet-music-reading-impaired ... or at least me.

Any errors are exclusively my own ...

I've been bad at visiting Violaman and posting updates Keith but if you feel like it :-)
I know some will appreciate it.

Thanks

Thanks but I was being sarcastic. I am a farmer and have quite a few cowboy hats and the horses, goats and other animals.

I'm working on violin 3 and was wondering is someone could explain the double stops to me? We didn't get that far when I was taking lessons. I know there is a video but my iPhone won't play it and I have sleeping guests in my computer/ guest room. If you could just explain the first measure that starts with AC AC then DD - do I bow the D and A string? And which notes do you finger? Sorry if I sound dumb...

I will definitely be making demo videos for every single part but in the meanwhile, just play one of the notes at a time. You don't really ever need to do the double stops.

With double stops you play two strings at once using the two notes indicated, or something nice that fits in with the parts for our group project. If anyone would like to do their own comp for the project that would be fine too, just make sure that it all fits with the key and tempo. You could always test it against one of my demos or the midi files.
If someone wants to play just the base note of the chord with whole, half or quarter notes, that will fit in nicely too. Even an off beat chop would enhance it.....
I want this video to build throughout to the end with a possibility of 2, 4, clapping, kettle banging, tambourine, whatever you guys can come up with that would blend in nicely. Like a big party jam......

Some friends of mine have a band where they play lots of homemade instruments like a washtub bass and stumpf fiddle. They even have a homemade guitar and mandolin these days. Their shows are so much fun!

OK... I want in on this project so bad, but I doubt I will have the time to get the violin parts down.  (I just got my fiddle two days ago.)  So I was wondering, If I cant contribute an actual fiddle tune, how about a short vid of (I can't believe I am even asking this) me pretending to fiddle out in my chicken coop with a straw hat and live chickens dancing around.  (Sounds even dumber when I write it-sheesh!)  Just to go along with your,

"I want this video to build throughout to the end with a possibility of 2, 4, clapping, kettle banging, tambourine, whatever you guys can come up with that would blend in nicely."

If this sounds dumb, I can understand...I feel like a dork for asking it, but then i saw the pigtails on a good ole boy and thought, what the heck, if he can put pigtails on, I'll put on a set of overalls, put in some Bubbah teeth and dance with a flock of chickens while playing (or pretending to play) my violin.  Just an idea, lemme know!

Here's my chicken yard! Enjoy:

Gkeese, why not?  Sounds like fun to me, can you teach your chickens to dance a hoe-down?

Barry, I wish I had a jug, it would sound a lot better than my fiddlin' ...

If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.
