In this type of music vibrato isn't used.

Ihad to ask.  I didn't think any vibrato was used, but you know what they say.  If ya don't ask, you'll never KNOW.

Great start Clint :-) )))

Make sure that you have in mind to use a little more elbow movement when doing the 16th notes to be relaxed in your wrist and not use so much shoulder. You can get pain from doing so.

Ya know.  I thought I was doing something wrong, because I do get a bit sore.  Thought it was just the Rokkie not in shape thing.  Thanks Pierre.  I'll work on that.

Anything else you noticed I need to work on.  (Besides my weight! That one is obvious, lol)

Are we still on track for July End-date for recordings?

Now I have some time to practice on something a little more fun than serious.violin-1267

Just a little FYI… I should have my vid in time for the deadline, but now during crunch time…I have to wait for Ole ROy to get back from the Doc (Luthier) before I can submit my vid.  But I'll have it in for ya!!  I'm really excited about the new bow, tuned up Violin and a good ole fashioned Hillbilly Fiddle tune done with friends.  I don't think I can be any more excited.  Good Luck to everyone!!!

How's it going, everyone? Are you fine-tuning your part? I'm planning on recording my video this weekend.

Time to go practice!

I submitted mine, for better or worse. I'm sure that I could have used more practice, but I didn't think that I'd get a whole lot better in just a few days.

Can't wait to see everyone else's contributions!

It takes a bit of time to get into, but it's just lovely to watch the kids in the crowd.

Great job on your video Robyn. And the outfit. :-) Love it!!!!
Yeeeeee Haaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
You know how hard it is to get classical musicians to learn something by heart? OMG!!!!! I've wanted to do stuff like this in all the orchestras I've been in but as soon as you ask a musician to work extra and learn parts by heart, FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!
Thanks for the link. I'd be happy to do it here. Maybe on a Fiddlerman reunion.

And again.. one little kid cut loose with what looked like a quarter.  That is not going to buy a lot of root beer for that many musicians.  Ah well, at least the one kid had some manners.

LOL

LOL. . .
I didn't really mean exactly that presentation, I just thought a simple tune like that would be great for all levels of play with more experienced players adding that pizzazz.
How about it Pierre? Or maybe a vote. I for one just love these group projects. Even Naska's surprise project was so much fun.

Love the Flash mob kids conduction at 3:26 and 3:40!!  Nothing I love more than kids taking an interest in music.  If it is fun for them…it is fun for everyone.  We just forget how to let go and conduct!!

Love the vid!

As for Pierres wish… Tell us all when to be a the reunion and we'll all go do a flashmob somewhere!  It would be spectacular!!
