Attention all members. After a great suggestion by Oliver, I added a polls widget on the top right hand side bar. I'll be needing LOTS of suggestions to keep the polls going. Please vote regularly and give me suggestions for new polls.

Make your suggestions either here, PM to me, or email me directly.

How will you manage the poll?  Weekend only ?  By the week?  Other?

I'm sure the idea will catch on once everybody "finds" it.

Can you enlarge font ?  Or bold?

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Will do. I'm not sure that it is working correctly. I logged off and emptied the cache to see if the vote was possible but can only see results. What do you others see who haven't voted yet? Shouldn't see the result unless you have already voted.

It's working. I had it set for both IP and cookies so my IP was the problem. Took that away because if there are several users in the same family they would not all be able to vote on their own computers.

I couldn't find the option to increase the font size but I'll figure it out.

Baroque is the era of music written between 1600 – 1750 and refers to the style of European music in that period of time. It has very unique characteristics and loved by many even today but is classical music along with all the era's of music such as Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary.

How about:

What kind of rosin do you use?

How long have you been playing?

How did you learn to play violin?

What kind of DIY repairs have you done to your violin?

Round Bow or Octagon bow?

What type of chin/shoulder rest setup do you use

What violin learning accessories have helped you? (bow straight guide, a bow grip, finger tapes, etc.)

Good idea but the problem with a poll is that I have to provide the answers and you choose from them. I can't for example write," What is your favorite violin related movie?" without giving options to choose from.

Check out my latest poll.  Favorite movie? You may have to reload a few times to see it cause I have chosen to have random polls show up and have 3 for now.

Be sure that you guys answer the latest poll about how often you change your strings. I'm still open to new poll ideas. I have a list from earlier and a few PM's that you guys sent but this will hopefully go on for a long time.

I have had violins for about a month. On my $100 dollar model, I changed to Domanant's then bought my new violin and it had steel strings so I swapped them. But as far as changing because of wear and tear or not sounding good, I will have to get back to you on that.

What if the correct answer isn't there?

I change my strings when they break.

If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.
