OK, The header that I've been using for the longest time was made by one of our members but I like to make changes from time to time. Change the color of the house so to speak. I'm in need of tips and suggestions for a new logo.

Maybe that tagline should be eliminated or changed??? (Learn to play violin for free.)

No photo of me necessary at all. Any fiddle related photo or not..... Something cool and attractive..... I kind of liked the header that I made for the 4th of July though it was simple, it was fresh.

All ideas are very welcome.

I can't wait to see what creative minds come up with.  I do like the "Learn to play the violin for free."  Because that is exactly what many have done here.

I like that tag line.  But I like the comforts of familiarity.

If I come up with anything snazzy, I will let you know.  I surely think a photo of you,  is a good thing also. Product recognition and a name we can trust.  (I am in marketing by the way).

Good luck!!!

I think instead of the "Learn to play violin for free"   it should be maybe something like one of these:

1. Where Violinists play

2. The violinists forum

3. Violins and friends

if anything, maybe this will get the ball rolling for better ideas, I do think the header should have a violin in it somewhere

The Free Way to Learn Violin

Fm sitting on a violin with wheels on a highway, maybe with the violin in the water picture in the background.

I came here because this is dedicated to beginners, I stayed because of the instructions and friendly attitudes.  I am happy that I have learned some violin, I am thrilled that I have found an honest and trustworthy businessman.

When you settle on the tag line, Pierre, I'm happy to take a crack at the design. I think there are some other members with graphics skills, too, so maybe you can get a few designs to choose from...or to use in a rotation.

Fiddler start date - May 2014

FIDDLE- Gift from a dear friend. A 1930-40 german copy, of a french copy of a Stradivarius.  BOW - $50 carbon fiber. Strings - Dominants with E Pirastro Gold string.

One thing that you have to remember Pierre. You will never please 'everyone' and that makes it difficult mate.

To make things easier for you may I suggest that you just aim to please 'The Ferret'. roflol

There does need to be a violin / fiddle. You 'are' the Fiddlerman, so why not a pic of you. The word 'free' is a very powerful one. It's also important that we are beginner friendly and, importantly,  adult beginner friendly. The word 'community' is a good one.

Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of dunno ..... What was I saying???? facepalm

Let us learn and play together  with a picture of a girl, a boy, a teenaged boy and girl and fairly adult woman and a man (the idea is that anybody can start learning at any age).

@Fiddlerman, I always like it in your videos when you say "fiddlerman dot com--the site where you can learn to play the violin for free". smile

Good noticing that ambiguity though @Schaick. smile

@ Feathers, looking forward to any ideas you are willing to offer :)

@ suresh, great idea but I'm not sure I'll go through the trouble to gather all those people for a photo shoot. ;) Should they all have fiddles in their hands?

Thanks RU :)

@Fiddlerman

Pierre

Thinking back, when I was looking for help after buying my first violin, the thing that made me click your link on the Google search was the word 'FREE'.

I think keep it basically the same, but just polished a bit.

While I'm not a person that is against change and progress, I do believe that It was a wise man that once said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

There have been times that I've found this to be true, much to my detriment rofl

I dont think anything is wrong with the way it is either. I was under the impression Pierre was tired of it and wanted a fresh look

I've always liked "Learn to play violin for free".

The header is good too, but I do kind of miss the "F" holes that were worked into the design when I first signed up.

Also think your Fiddlerman cap should stay in there somewhere. I'm sure that's caused quite a few to ask - where can I get one!
