Hi All
On the weekend I played in front of strangers for the first time.
I was camping with the family at a place called Woodenbong (In the Australian boonies). We where there to go to the local markets on Saturday and to listen to the local 'country' band that plays there every month.
That night the few people staying at the camp ground (around 10 people) where in the camp kitchen having a few whiskeys that I provided (I'm a home 'stiler') and it came up after a few drinks that I had a violin with me.
They asked me to go and get it and play them a tune. Having had a few nips, I was 'relaxed' enough to say OK
I played Redeemed for them and then, after another nip, I decided to let them have it with Over The Rainbow. Fortunately, it turned out that I was 'relaxed' enough to get through both the tunes without a significant mistake. There was, much to my surprise, APPLAUSE We all then went on to get so 'relaxed' that we all had to ge to bed
I was surprised again the next morning when everyone thanked me for playing the night before,
It was a great weekend.
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of ..... What was I saying????
