Just received my Jamey Aebersold (jazz/sax) book and cd "Autumn Leaves".  Playing jazz on drums was always fun, this though seems more intense.  It is a backing track with piano bass and drums.  I expected sax but didn't get it.  I'll work through it and give a review,,,,it might take some time though.

Love that song.  Sang it on the radio when I was 6 or 7.  I still like to hear it, on those rare occasions when someone plays it. I especially like the Jazz versions.

I play it daily, but with its simplicity it sounds hollow, hence the book.  I would also like to be able to play Canadian Sunset well, but have no idea as to how that will be done.

@MrYikes: Here's a great version of jazz violin, "Autumn Leaves" that I learned several months ago, but with my own version.

"Canadian Sunset", (released in 1956 when I was 13) is another song I love playing. I always loved that song.

Ken.

Can't find a violin version of this.
