I am kinda bummed that I didn't get to see the live drawing, but on the other hand, I am SUPER EXCITED for you Pikachu.

CONGRADULATIONS!!!

I hope you will post a picture for us so we can see you with your new baby(the violin)!

I missed the drawing because I was visiting someone at the hospital. Things keep coming up! I would have loved to have seen it live, but I'm sure it'll be up on youtube like the last one was. XD I'll be posting a picture as soon as I get it. I don't have an amp though, so unless there's some way to hook it to my computer I can't do a play-y thing.dancinbunnydancinbunnydancinbunnydancinbunnydancinbunny

Unfortunately I didn't have my helpers today to record it. Also I couldn't demonstrate the electric because my grown up kids were sleeping in after a late night out last night.

I did however demonstrate the CVN-200 which will be the next fiddle to be raffled.

Just be prepared for one thing, the sound on an electric violin without effects is not all that great as I pointed out on my video about this violin. Sounds very much like a sewing machine. To get good sounds you need an effect box such as the one that I was using on the video. I use the Zoom G-2

XD I'm sure it'll sound better than my sewing machine. I'm used to terrible playing, so not using an effects box isn't a problem. : D

Actually, I believe it can be a great violin. The sound-post is WAY out by the f-hole. Imagine if a luthier set a new and longer post in the right spot how much of a difference there would be. This one is super short and can therefor not be put in the right spot or I would have done it already.

Also, this and the other violins are very hard to play in tune because of those steel strings. Imagine if I could afford to change to perlon-core on each one. Unfortunately they cost around $40 a set.

That's $10 cheaper than the Dominant strings at my local music store. Are they better?

They are the same.

I wish they would have more details but my guess is that they are medium aluminum wound.
