That movie was one of the sequels/spoofs that I actually loved!!!  I seen a dvd 2 pack with Young Frankenstein and Haunted Honeymoon not too long ago......I should definitely buy it!!!  ........after I get new strings of course!

Was reminded of another great soundtrack today in the car on the way home from work "out of Africa" with Meryl Streep and Rob Redford

Television shows have soundtracks, too.  The music on House at the end of each episode was always meaningful.  cool

I've learned so much from my mistakes that I've decided to make some more.

Hi Gail,
I agree, it's just hard for me to watch the programme. I'm used to 'House' being English, confuses my head listening to him doing an American accent, flag_usa

I've been enjoying this thread, and caught myself listening to a soundtrack today and thought I should add one of my favorites.

You may all scoff, but the score for the "Lighting of the Beacons" from the Lord of the Rings is one of my all-time favorites ever from a film. In fact, if I listen to it with the volume turned way up, I get goosebumps. As a LOTR fan I may be partial, but for those unfamiliar with the trilogy, the lighting represents a call from one kingdom to another, a call to band together, to fight, to hope, and to never give in to evil --which makes the score all the much better.

p.s. the lighting starts at about 56 seconds in.

You are a true fan only if you also play Lords of the Rings Online blink and get your ears chirurgically modify to look like an elf!

M8, I KNOW the feeling!!  LOL  That's why I included "The Golden Hall" from the LOTR's soundtrack!  I love the violin part!  It's just so epic!

And NV, what's wrong with wearing elvin ears?!?!?!?!?  tongue

There was a TV show back in the day called Homicide: Life in the Streets.  Probably one of the best cop shows ever.  There was great music on that show.  Each episode had different songs and they used contemporary music.  Also had amazing acting.  Now that I'm thinking about it, that show was just freaking awesome...well, I'm off to Netflix to update my queue!!!!!

It's funny this thread turned to TV shows because right after reading it I watched an episode of SG1 which had a scene where the music complemented the action beautifully.  Fortunately for y'all, it was on Youtube.  (Season 6, episode 20, "Memento")

LOL, well I guess tv shows need music to!  exactly

I remember when I was younger, there was a series on PBS about the Civil War.  They kept using the song Ashokan Farewell which sounded amazing!  .....another good "soundtrack" pick! :D

........wow.....I have so many shows & movies I have to watch now!!!  rofl Looks like I'll be spending time in my recliner with fiddle in hand, watching tv!  .....the wife's gonna love this!  devil-violin
