My forum nick is now BillyG  ( By chance, I found a couple of posts that referenced me, but I never received notification - so I wasn't ignoring anyone !  There are probably too many "Bills" around - easy for a poster to pick the wrong one - so there'll be some other Bill out there wondering why he was mentioned in a post !   Confusing or what ? )

BillyG is also my SJ nick, so there's some sense in doing this....

BillyG / aka Bill / aka MadBill (original member name)

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

LOL Jim - yup your post was one of them !    Not your fault  - it's sometimes not obvious - especially when the original nick the account was created with suddenly appears when typing in the "@ something"  and it changes to MadBill ( I dropped the "Mad" bit some time back as I soon realized that most members on this forum kind of fall into that category ! )

On the topic of "Mad" being kinds redundant as an adjective when describing the illustrious company of the Fiddlerman community...

Your new nick brought this song/cover I heard recently to mind, Bill..

I think it's something in the rosin that drives us all crazy.. Yeah, that sounds reasonable.

Ahhhh... nice "off-the-curve-thought"  there Dan - yup -BillyG - Billie Jean - nice pick @DanielB  - cool - and - not a bad take at all - just running the link a second time - I like it a lot...

[ Oh, and the "Mad" was originally NOT intended to reflect my state of mind, rather my sheer ANGER at the violin I started out with and my total inability to play the bu99ah ( excuse my language ! ) - but I've got it sorted now and it has become my "pretend viola"

Heheheh - BillyG / aka Billie Jean - no - not really - not gonna happen ! LOL

^5s Dan !

Yeah, the concept was kinda what would happen if we all changed our nick to "Bill" for a week or so.

Mind you, "Bill" is an illustrious name in many a folk song.  Like this (not so) well-known bit of Americana..

Hahaha - but somewhat "disturbing" there.....  I'm beginning to worry about my States-side songwriting cousins!

LOL,

In Sweden when I lived there, there were commercials about Bill. There was big Bill and small Bill. Obviously small Bill was preferred...

I found these on Youtube.

roflroflrofl !   Man, great ads.

OK, to nail this insanity - I heard a line in one of those that reminds me of this joke -

Little boy runs inside and says:  "Daddy, daddy - there's a man at the door with a bill"

Father pauses, then says: "Nah... don't be silly son, it must be a duck"

OK, enough already !
