Apocalypses are always such a fizzle.  I don't expect it will amount to any more than 1999 did.  Same premise.

It did bring an old song to mind, though..

Exactly whose Saturday are we talking about here?  When I wake up this coming Saturday it will still be Friday afternoon in the USA.  The world may just end before you have an opportunity to go to bed on Friday......lol    coffee

Party like it's 1999!

Seriously though, if the world ends I will miss not seeing our project as well, as the OP said.

I heard on the radio this morning that the end is supposed to come at 6:11 am on 12/21. I would think that would be 6:11 am Mayan time...i.e. the Yucatan Peninsula. So, we're not in the clear quite yet.

But, of course, the main point is that tomorrow is when the Mayan calendar ends. As long as the Mayan Oil Company sends them another one, we'll all be OK.

Absolutely.  And even if the end doesn't actually happen, then one still got a good practice/play session in.  LOL

Besides, they say Nero played while Rome burned.  Well, we can beat that by quite a bit, if the world actually does end.  And if we run into Nero in whatever sort of hereafter there might be, we can walk up and say "Ha!  Pwned ya, noob!"

What I'm wondering is why human kind is bent on figuring out when the world will end instead of how we can keep it going strong.....

I was more than disappointed...the world could use some change....like a new dominant species.  The human brain got a little too big for it's britches. exactly
