The violin was too hard,,,so I have an oboe coming this week.  I got a clarinet and alto sax last month.
My wife likes the low sounds of the cello, so I got all these high pitch squealers so I can drive her crazy.  Of course I'll keep playing the violin too.

Well, you will soon be an excellent candidate to enter into the centuries old debate.   Of the two most difficult instruments to learn to play well, which is the most difficult -- the violin or the oboe. cheers

Well ya see, Uzi, I'm way ahead of the kids starting out on oboe.  They remember all their frustrations that build up in them and I'm at an age where I don't remember breakfast.  So it's all good.
And Toni, I have a cello and all I mostly play is the theme from Jaws just so I can hear my wife yell, will you cut that out!

Sounds like you're having fun getting to play so many different instruments :)

It doesn't hurt to learn more instruments. Makes you well rounded and more knowledgable. :)
As long as you keep playing the violin. :)
