A lot of great and interesting people here, on the forum! birthday_balloon

Of course, playing violin is the thing, that connecting us here =). exactly

But i'm curious, what do you people do without it? There is a question in the FiddlerMan's interview about it... But i'd like to know more about your hobbies guys... Please, if You'd like, post here some photos or/and videos of You, doing something without the violin. =)

Kevin for example has a farm and likes horses - i'd be very happy to see You, Kevin on a horse =)... or a picture of your bunnies =)

MGN is a professional guitarist.. I'd really like to see your guitar concert or something else...

Maybe someone likes to draw or knit or....?

I'll start: here's one of my favourite things to do without violin - ropejumping =)

A picture of me eating a bowl of ice cream wouldn't hold a candle to you bunji jumping.  I'll have to think of something else I like to do...

I've learned so much from my mistakes that I've decided to make some more.

You're too funny Mad Wed! Yah that photo was taken a few years ago... I was sorta trying to do the Jim Morrison look. I have many photos with long hair.

I recently cut my hair off too but I'm growing it back quickly.

And about your original post, I give tattoos and love to draw.

My hobbies may not interest any one. One of my hobbies is Cosplay. I dress as a character from a anime or a video game. I make the outfits as closely represent the character as much as possible to my ability. I also build props that go with that character. This one is from a video game called Monster Hunter. After improving my skills, I hope one day that I be able to do commissions for other cosplayers. I go to Anime conventions and most of the attendees dress as their favorite character and show off their skills. Along with my cosplay hobby, I make custom parasols. I've only made two so far. Black with white lace and the other with dyed red lace.

Dennis, did You make those cars ? duncecapdrooling Always wanted to ask a stupid question: when You shoot could that happend that because of the render (? kickback ?) the rear sight hits your eye? dazed

The first pic was a racing drag boat called a Sanger Ski-Hydro in the picklefork design and it has a 540 cu in blown alcohol engine, the second one was our alcohol dragster (same engine combination) and Pontiac Trans Am street car. Yes, I built both of the fun toys myself. I'm the crew chief for our racing team and we've been doing this sort of thing for the past 27 yrs now. I actually do everything from transmissions, to engines, to the chassis, etc. but I dont have time or space to do the paint and lettering.

Now, the rifle is a .300 Winchester Magnum and I shoot it alot at extreme long range (like a 1000 yds) and as far as teh kick of it goes, it has what they call a "muzzle brake" on the end of the barrel that reduces the kick considerably. Here's a short video of me shooting it. I did the video exactly to answer that sort of question. enjoy it. The second one is my daughter shooting it... she's a gun hog, she loves shooting it that much! LOL

Well I have a couple of hobbies besides playing the fiddle. I am an avid bowhunter. I will hunt anything with my bow from elk to squirrels. I also bowfish quite a bit. I also have a huge interest in Reptiles. I would consider myself an amateur herpetologist and I have kept and studied several different reptile and amphibian species.

I guess what I really like to do most though is spend time with my 4 kids. They really keep us pretty busy. Besides the baby, they all play sports, cheerlead, or dance.
