How long was your beard Barry? I had one for about a year one I was in my early twenties but had to take it away when I got dandruff on my fiddle. That was just too much :-(

So I am watchin Brian Wicklunds dvd and he is talking about posture, holding the fiddle and bow holds. Yep, prime example of what not to do, no matter how good it sounds. ha ha, funny.
