Sounds good. I like how you are using your pinky finger and not forgetting that it is there. A lot of beginners including myself have a tendency to wait for a while before using it. Getting one scale down is really important > it makes learning the others an easier road to travel. If your not using a metronome yet I would start using one. It is a very good tool when learning scales. One other thing> if your palm is resting on the neck as you are doing your scales, now would be a good time to not let that happen. Its real easy to have the neck resting on your palm, seems somewhat natural but not a good thing. Your fingering needs to not be restrained by that. Where did I learn that > from this forum and its members > they were correct.

Good job.  I think the hat is cute.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

Nice cap even though it's not a Fiddlerman cap. exactly

Nice start and I'm happy to hear that you are noticing when the notes are off. That is more than half the battle. thumbs-up

I tried to read your t-shirt since you're reversed on this video...I was guessing that it said something like: Where the Heart Meets the Source.
How close am I?

Look forward to more progression videos.

@StoneDog  Thanks :) I will start using a metranome. I hadn't even thought about using one but i can see where it would really come in handy doing scales. as far as my hand on the neck you are correct. I will correct that. Glad I posted i didn't really know that was bad . thanks for all the happy comments you rock!

@Fiddlerman  I didn't even realize it played it mirrored. lol. my computer must automatically do it but you were really close it says "where the heart meets the soul" :D  and my fiddlerman cap will hopefully be in the mail in about 5 days when i get paid. I got a whole list for fiddlershop hehehe.

Good job! Keep using your pinky as much as you can.

I didn't use my pinky for years, and it has taken me years to used to not relying on it.

You brought the memory of the time when I was in the 5th grade. My teacher taped a thumbtack under the neck of my violin to remind me not to rest it on my palm.

LOL, "soul" makes a LOT more sense. I don't know why I didn't figure that out. Glad to hear that you have a whole list for fiddlershop. thumbs-up

Awesomesauce! Youre a girl after my own heart, taking things slow, haha. I've been on the dang g scale for months now. Anyway, for someone who said to have problems  even reaching that string, even for someone who didn't, that was beautifully done. Yay violins!

Ahh thanks Laser :D I try to rush things every once in a while and yet my violin gladly shoves it in my face that im not ready so I've tried to do my best in doing it right the first time so i don't have to go re learn it. makes it much easier in the long run :D

It's been said, but great use of the pinky.  I have just started really trying to use it after playing a year and half and it is extremely weak compared with my other three fingers.

Great work!

Never mind maneuvers, just go straight at them.
