Hi guys,
I just got a violin from my grandpa. He passed away and thought that what best way to remember him if not by playing his violin
I have never been to official classes for any musical instruments but I do know how to play the piano and guitar - self taught and by ear. I know how to read notes but love to play by ear.
I hope to learn from all of you and the videos posted here are inspiring! I absolutely love the Dark Waltz from Mad Web and Fiddlerman himself. I've watched and listened to it every single day without fail to learn it!
Would love to get the audio file for that. Currently also learning to play ferdinand kuchler op 11 - I have the sheets and also audio file for that.

Welcome. Sorry about the loss of your grandpa but it is true. The best way for you to remember him is to play his fiddle. What a great way to honor someone's memory by keeping alive their favorite past-time.
'Tis a gift to be simple, 'tis a gift to be free
'Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.
