Hi everyone!
My name is Elisa and I have been playing violin for 5 years with a big "time-out"in between due to college.I'm classicly trained, russian school method with private teacher and I love all about baroque/rocaille era.
Besides time, motivation has been a problem since I don't know many people who play and would like to study or play a long.
A few years ago I discovered FiddlerMan videos and website and I have been lurking the forum since then.
I really like how passionate the members are towards the violin so I finally decided
to register and start to share my experience, colaborate and get to know yousmile

Thank you for reading!

Welcome ex-lurker @ElisaDalViolin !

Being a relatively experienced and tutored player (compared to me!), I'm sure you'll find inspiration, and motivation here.   Plenty "on-going" mini-projects to "play along with" - even - start your own if you wish!  And there's still time to contribute to this years Xmas group-project !

Above all, enjoy the journey !

Welcome ElisaDalViolin,

I really love it when violinists come back to the instrument after having left it for a while. Often they come at it with a different approach and new ideas. I'm glad you decided to join our family too. :)
Look forward to your future posts.

Olá, Elisa!

I'm from Brazil, so we've got something in common. :)

I've been playing the fiddle for around 2 years now, learning all by myself with the aid of fiddlerman's videos. Anyway, welcome to the forum!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!

@Bill - Thank you! I really love the virtual projects idea! It's amazing how many people contribute over the internet!

@Fiddlerman - The violin has given me so much that I couldn´t leave it. It has been one year since that break and it's true what you say. Having new objectives and thoughts makes a big difference smile Thank you and thank you for your great videos!

@augustoad - You forgot the violin, that makes two things in common smile It's a tough journey! When I start I also wanted to do by myself, but I found out there was a teacher living very close to me (which is very rare) so I had to take the opportunity and I'm still with her today. Thank you!

Not so small... Ceará is very far from where I live. Rio Grande is kinda close, though. If they ever come to Ponta Grossa - Paraná, there's a chance we might meet, and that would be interesting. Haven't spoken english in over 6 months now! XD

But that's very nice.

Let me add my welcome as well @ElisaDalViolin all the way from West Virginia, USA.  As being someone who is neither trained or educated in violin, I will be one of the ones keenly interested in anything I can learn from you.

Welcome to the group...

Hi Elisa, welcome and come right in.  Please sit in front on the left over there with the 1st violins, next to Kindascratchy.  When the conductor gives the countdown on the first piece, no one is going to play.  It's always a hoot and all conductors have a great sense of humor.
