Hi, My name is Kyle, Im in the 9th grade, I have been playing the Violin since about 4th grade.  I recently got a Cecilio Black Electric for Christmas, and my teacher asked me and another student with an electric Violin to consider something of a solo, except with two people.  So I guess a Duet, and she is asking us to consider the Orange Blossom Special.  So I'm going to need to get new strings, I guess it was somewhat necessary if I want to play for the 7th/8th Grade worship band at my Church.  I'm in 9th grade, but as long as you are in High school or Jr. High you can play in the Worship band....   I've kinda gotten lost in when I'm supposed to play, and when I'm not....  I was just told one day that the Violin is more of a Solo piece instrument and that the would tell me when they had something for me.  So I'm going to show up some time and join them for practice.  I would also like to upload videos of me playing my Electric Violin, but I don't know how to hook the sound up and start recording everything,  like how to save the music, yeah... I do have one Idea, that I don't know if it would be good enough,  Hooking up my violin to speakers, and then just playing and having the Camera pick up the sound off of that.  Thanks!done

Glad to have you here Kyle.
Probably the best strings for the money are the Pro-Arte, which I have on my violin right now. I prefer the Zyex which cost $10 more but that is only because they produce a brighter and more powerful sound as apposed to a darker warmer sound.

Your idea will work out fine to begin with for recording. There are better ways but kind of complicated if you have not learned that much about recording technique, and don't have an audio interface.

Good luck with that and keep us posted.

Welcome Kyle. Let us know what kind of camera and what kind of computer you have and we can get you in the right direction to record yourself.
