Hello, I have been playing violin on and off for 30 years..I began playing with the suzuki method. I guess I'm a mediocre to advanced player. My background is classical music, however, I've always enjoyed when others played fiddling' gypsy'Irish type music..Unfortunatly, I have never had the opportunity to learn this style and no one to help or play with me...I'm hoping this forum can give me some helpful tips or show me where to get sheet music or books...I just listened to the fiddler guy (admin) play and he's pretty awesome....Today, as a part time business I play in local retirement homes and weddings....My real hope by joining this forum  is to learn and find fiddling and gypsy sheet music...Help!...I don't even know where to begin looking...I went to a local music store but the music was just a bit too 'elementary' for me.....

Thanks, Dawnmarie

Welcome, Dawnmarie! If you're looking for helpful tips, sheet music (and/or leads on where to find it) and general fiddle camaraderie, you've come to the right place!

That's funny. I'm always looking for music that's elementary enough for me! :)

Seeya around the forum!

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.
