Hi, I'm Kim. I started learning about 10 months ago and I am self taught using resources such as those on this great site.
I love playing and after a false start have managed to practice most days since August. I love the traditional folk tunes, and I live in Northumberland in the UK where we have a strong tradition which is probably my main influence at the moment.
Looking forward to continuing to learn...

I'm from Newcastle originally, what type of tunes are you playing from the region? Maybe you could put up some photos of the music you're using.. i'd love to get some north east influence back in my life

Always fun having players that are self taught to share their methods and resources.
In regards to your false start, maybe you would like to join us on our 35 day practice challenge. You put it up in plain site, set goals, and check off every day you practice. I've already messed up twice and will be restarting after the NAMM show this weekend.
