We've all heard of 'legato'.
There is a lesser known technique called 'armato'.
There are many rare and precious italian violins : Stradivari, Guarneri, Lupot, Guadanini and most valuable of all, the Lavatori.

Even rarer is the technique known as clamato, used mostly in sea chanties and at cocktail parties.
I'm not quite sure what that's all about, it's 3:30 am here, but then there's "Ken's".
