dancingHello again! I thought you all might like this one. Irish tune called "The Banshee", also known as "McMahon's Reel".

Genuine names this time - not my wacky made-ups ones :)

Normal speed, then slowed down a bit.

So, I just started the upload to YouTube, and I'll come back and add the link. OK?

Hi Jim and good morning to you, is this 'the lilting banshee' of which you speak?
I hope so as this is the first fiddle tune I attampted to learn.

Maybe I should just be patient and wait for the upload

HI Mad,

Yes they were triplets. Bowed triplets - this time, 3 bows on the same note. Up-Down-Up.

Depends on how the music is notated, whether or not you did a bow reset, what beat does it begin with ie up beat or down beat, what did your teacher or conductor say and last but not least what did FM say? follow those rules to be happy, healthy and wise.-fiddle on!jimi-hendrix

Thank you for uploading this. I was actually going to ask the forum for an irish tune that I could try, but here it is! Very well played!

Wow, great playing there.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

I have worked on this reel for some time now, and your playing just becomes more impressive now that I see how much work it is to learn this tune and play it as well as you:) I'm still working on it, but I find it hard to figure out how I use the bow on this one.. Anyway, your video have helped me alot! Thanks again :D
