You are hilarious !!!  According to that statement, I beat you already- but I don't believe you !  I'm still going- and only 3 out of the first 14 days I only practiced the minimum minutes.  (and one time I was really, really drunk- and I sucked big time ! But I did the whole time I had to for the day.)

I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

Playing while drunk can be fun, interesting, relaxing, and I suppose if someone recorded it, embarrassing. LOL

Thanks !  I was so close to settling for defeat today--  But, I DID IT !!! (but I did have to split the practice into two equal parts- I decided it was ok)  The rest of the week should be good.  (I was worried about the last two days, but I'm looking- got 11 days left.  I really should be able to no problem !!   :)

rockin on !!

Well I haven't posted since last year about this time. I'm still practicing and still taking lessons. I have been doing a lesson now for three weeks learning fingering tasks and bowing practice. My difficulty is getting my fingers to drop on the string in the right place. Minimize lifting of the fingers and going from string to string. Going from a G to a D with four fingers on the e string and back, or from F to a E with four fingers on the a string. This has been a long test of endurance and patience. I just want to really "get it".

I hope to drop back in more frequently.

Thanks, @damfino -  I am excited to get back to normal, not worrying about time practice, but I learned a lot about my list of excuses, and I probably got a little better at playing in the process !  LOL

So glad to see this thread pop again. I am not in this challenge but in my teacher's challenge to get back to my practice routine; so far I have been practicing everyday including weekends. My goal is to play an average of 30 minutes/day in the month of February.

Talking about practicing, when I was back in Malaysia during the month of December, 2015, I probably only practice twice! After we came back, for a week I could not go to sleep until 3 or 4 am in the morning and couldn't get up until almost noon! So, no practice! Even after I got back to work, I still could not get back to my practice routine because of the "couldn't get up in the morning" syndrome. I probably only practice twice a week after I got back to work. Luckily, there's the practice contest and that brought back the motivation and finally got me back to my practice routine! I almost wanted to give up taking lessons because it felt like a waste of money when I don't practice or when I could not get back to my practice routine (which is 5 times a week) and lost all the intonation (fingering accuracy)! I also remembered each time we were on a trip like that (usually 5 to 7 weeks), it would take my daughter a while to get back to where she was at.

Now that I am back to my routine practice, I felt not only I am back on track but also making good progress.

Go go everyone!

I am back, and I'm totally in on this challenge, just because it's a really good idea!

Work, Real Life, Issues and things kept me from practicing until one day I just broke the fiddle back out of its case and found out how badly I needed to practice.

Thanks- I really hate them and this is the first, and probably the only one I will ever do.  It was worth it, though

Proud of you. :)
I wish I could succeed with the challenge as well. Maybe I'll give it a new go soon. I don't have a problem practicing, just finding time to do it every single day. :(
