Well, its been a year now since I started playing the violin. No big deal ???
Well,
OK, it is a big deal to me
I thought that I'd go Aussie on you all
This is my take on Waltzing Matilda. Its Australia's unofficial National Anthem.
Its 'unofficial' because its about an itinerant worker who steals a sheep from a wealthy land owner. He gets 'sprung' by some troopers, and jumps in to a 'billabong' and drowns.
I feel that I could have done it better but the video cam makes me feel self conscious and it effects my playing.
Enjoy....Or not
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of ..... What was I saying????

Congrats John!!!!
You made a great mile stone (or mill stone as it feels sometimes) in your journey. You have enlightened us with your observation and reason. You have shared with us your music and play. You even shared some of your life's walk. I for one, God willing, hope to be around when you reach more tick marks on the years of playing you reach. Thanks for being here and sharing in this journey.

Congrats Ferret! Do you feel any different? LOL

Thanks Daniel. I feel a better person for it and better educated and can play a musical instrument. It's been one of the most positive and rewarding things that I've ever done.

Good to hear, Ferret!
I've still got around a month to go on my first year. I'm not even up to a year from when I *ordered* my very first violin, yet. Violin isn't my first musical instrument, so I haven't had some of the fun you have. But so far I'd agree with you on the first year being worthwhile and fun.
