Well, this is a sort of progress report. I'm not sure I made any progress but maybe I did (?) Besides, I am also interested to see if my recording techniques have improved but I think things may have gotten worse.
The backing clip in the mp3 is from "Blue Skies" but there probably are few on this forum who are ole enough to remember that. (PS the mp3 will sound like Regina Carter but not this year).

Oliver, I know blue skies. I don't think Im that old. Lol
Hey good job! I thought you played very well.
I haven't heard previous progress reports from you. My only technical comment on the recording is that I thought the backing clip was a little loud over your violin playing.

If you heard vibrato, it was mostly unsteady handsI can manage some vibrato but I had a bad experience with vibrato and avoid it. This gives me motivation to play the faster tempo songs
O, please, don't avoid! It goes really well! ...Unless You have finger-medical-related issues with vibrato of course...

My problem is that I have heard people using vibrato mostly for the purpose of getting attention to themselves.
I do use some vibrato but in a limited way. And I certainly have heard vibrato used in very positive ways by some artists.
I remember one guy in first chair who played nothing without too much vibrato. He distracted from the music and looked like a helicopter
