:) ya, @Fidelestre -- thanks-  I am actually pretty good at it, and the more I practice a piece, the better I feel about it.  I just spent a week looking for the sheets to a song- that no one has, and today, when practiced- I thought, wow-  I'm almost getting it !! LOL

I think this book software package thingy is going to be awesome tho- but maybe a bit over my head (but there is nothing wrong with that).  At least I will be able to see in writing where i am going wrong.   :)

@Leana  I've slowed down pieces in Audicity or Audition.  Audacity is free.  There is an option to slow an audio file but keep the correct pitch.

Les has experience using the program that is actually called slowdowner or something like that.  He liked it!

Audacity is terrific and sophisticated.  Some people just want a simple one button/purpose slowdowner program or app, though.  Yeah, try Audacity.  Free is my favorite, too!

Not only is Audacity free but it is constantly improving.
The problem with expensive apps such as the one I was using (Moto's "Digital Performer") is that when you change your OS you often need to purchase an upgrade. Granted, if you purchased it recently enough it won't cost you but every version gets better and you feel the need to upgrade regardless. :(
Unless you have a good reason, or you are loaded, stick with Audacity. There isn't that much you can't do with it. Once you get used to it, you'll find it's a terrific program.

Audacity is very useable- got it to work without much effort, and it's funny to hear something reduced to half speed ! LOL  I will someday read instructions to see what else it does but, yup !!  FREE is the bomb !
