What about Santa Lucia?

Here it is on violin:

On mandolin:

And by a mandolin-guitar orchestra:

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Nice.  Hadn't heard that song in years.

Aha ! Thanks for the posts folks - a few tunes there I recognize, especially Santa Lucia !   Anyway - real reason for the post - and I know this is nothing to do with "Italian Folk" songs - but - I thought I would bring this one to your attention Ray - I was planning on working (on fiddle) on an old Scottish dance tune called "Corn Rigs" and did a bit of a search for sheet, tab, midi, ABC, MuseScore, live performances, etc... whatever - and I came across this - I appreciate it has nothing to do with the thread title - but I enjoyed it, and I'm sure you will too - follow the link - http://www.mandolincafe.com/fo.....ionid=2276

Cheers, and thanks very much for all your mando related posts although I haven't yet gone down that path myself....
