(0 votes) Wow, FM!! All you need is a beer tap in that case and you're set! LOL I never thought to have nail clippers in my case! I probably wouldn't of realized it until too late and had to bite off my nails!
dionysia, seeing your treasure trove reminded me of my rescue violin! I rescued this 1920's German Stainer Copy from a garbage pile at an old house in Chicago that my friend was cleaning out! I kinda got a "2 for 1" deal and found a 1938 Thoren Harmonica as well. I also found 2 steel pennies and a wheat penny in the case with a similar rosin "rock!"
(and yes, I know. I'm missing my E string! LOL Stupid cheap strings!
)
I understand FM, My main instrument is a 1972 Les Paul and the case is filled with everything I need.
Terry you have a cute Kitty
I have 2 cats that won't leave me alone when I practice but when I break out the Sax they run and hide. Seems like quit a few of us have cats. I love dogs and all animals but I travel too much to make a good home for dogs.
Here's my little multi purpose man grooming kit including 2 nail clippers and about 20 guitar picks that goes with me everywhere:

LOL, True. However, I can open the beer bottles with my eye lid.
Funny how so many of you have extra bridges in your cases. I've never broken a bridge in my life…..
I love this thread.

A true fiddler, through and through! If I ever tried that, I'd end up blind! LOL I think the reason there were so many bridges in the case I found was because, well, one was trashed (completely warped) and the other 2 were set up differently. Apparently, the previous owner liked to go from a flatter bridge to a more standard bridge! Who knows? It makes for a great story though!

Wow you mean you went through the whole practice to achieve this feat of strength?

Well, if bridges were often broken, I imagine the ancient ones in our cases would have been used long ago! I haven't looked at the ones in my case to see if they are set up differently, I will have to do that! The one on my fiddle now seems kinda flat, which makes sense for old-time style. I do a lot of accidental double stops when practicing HaP.

Hey – it looks like you have the metal tuners like my fiddle has. Any plans to use them? I almost never tune my fiddle, but I -think- it stays in tune pretty well. I credit the gears on the tuners for holding everything in place. [and -not- my tin ear LOL]

It looks like it! I'm too nervous to try them out! I have absolutely no idea how to put them in and I don't want to do any damage to my old violin! I think they're held in by friction, but I could be wrong.
FM, That would be a HILARIOUS video!! You'd have to demonstrate a light-hearted, preferable alcohol related song with it! ![]()
