Wish I had a camera so I could join the party. :(

I learned the song where the second measure and all others like it was GEE BAG, but your rendition of your sheet music is GEG BAG. I played it your way and I like it much better. abcnotation.com even has it as GEE BAG. I guess it's just one of those things where people play it both ways.

Hi everyone sorry we have not been on for a while but I had no internet for about 3 weeks so we missed alot but Katie wanted to say thank you all for the nice comments and support she has gotten from everyone on this site, as a beginner violinist she has gained alot of confidence after we joined this site, Katie  began learning the violin 1 yr and 3 mths ago and has been making progress as a beginner thanks to the support she has from you all and the great feedback, she has recently audition for the orchestra at her music school and got in, she is very happy and her violin playing has much improved even I like it now lol her school will be closed in a few days so she will have more time to join the parties on here which she really likes alot and fiddlerman's projects she was very proud to be a part of it.afroviolin_girl

Thank You All

Congratulations to Katie on getting into the orchestra! I, for one, am not surprised. From what I've seen from her videos posted here, she's making great progress. I hope you post some videos of her playing in the orchestra.

Great way to learn to play by ear. Just listen, listen, and listen, preferably to many different versions, then play your own. :-)

Thanks for the post Barry.

I've got chills... I can't even begin to explain how much I love that.   I felt like I was right there with that jam session.  Thanks for posting.   I am about 60 percent up to that speed.

I just wanted fist pump and say yeah!!!!!

I am always amazed at the emotions and feelings that some of this new to me music evokes!  And I thought I was just Bach bound.... Silly me...

Nice Barry. Glad to see you had a fun last night with all the songs you did. Your emphasis on fun can NOT be overstated. What are the beginning notes you played to lead into the song?! I'm going to post my first video of me playing this tune sometime this weekend if I ever get a camera!
