Not bad, FS! Most people start with scales on the higher strings as they are easier to reach with the fingering hand (the right, in your case.)

Take a firmer grip on your bow and play it like you mean it dancinbunny - a little more pressure on the string, longer bowing stroke.

I'm impressed and also by the sound of the violin :-)
Keep your wrist straight instead of resting it on the neck.

Your intonation is actually not bad, especially for the second day. Stay focused on it already now this early in the game and you will have a super advantage for the future. Fourth finger right up against the third in this case. C# to D is only a half step.

Soon you guys are going to be jamming together. Surprisingly hardly no screeching as you warned us about. Good contact and projection already. Keep it up.

Thank you @ Terry & Fiddlerman. I will try to remember to keep my wrist straight when playing and try to stay focused. I almost got "Old MacDonald" down pat. I am having trouble going from open "A" to "G" three fingers on the D-string from the Essential Elements book. I have cds to go with book and they help.
