Decided to throw together another video last night, after finishing up my turn on StreetJelly, I mean I already had all my lights turned on, haha. The sound of my open E was bugging me yesterday, and it didn't record very well... oh well, lol.

I got sick of the quiet intro titles, so played a little ditty that popped in my head and made a noisy one, lol. In my head, it's my fiddle saying "the fiddling violin" facepalm lol. I'm not sure if I like doing that, but gave it a try for this video.

Anyway, I like this song, Golden Slippers, but I feel like I haven't made a ton of progress on any of the songs I've been learning because of so much of my focus just being etudes and shifting.

@Fran Thanks so much 🙂 It is a fun little tune, it's one I go to when my mind is blank and I can't think of what to play, haha. Now I just need to get it up to a better speed 🙂

@damfino : love your video.  Your sound is quite good and I see you are very successful at vibrato! Yay, do more!

@intrepidgirl Thanks! My vibrato is hit and miss, sometimes it feels easy and natural, and other times I feel like I'm forcing it and clumsy, lol.

I usually try to do one video a month to keep track of my progress (hopefully I'm progressing, lol), but now that I have an easy spot to record my videos (thanks to being set up for StreetJelly, lol) I can do them more often if the inspiration strikes me, lol.

Very cool that you are sharing your journey with so many people. You're an inspiration to others doing the same thing Mandy. 🙂
Congratulations on the vibrato!!!

Good job.

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

@Fiddlerman Thanks 🙂 I have fun sharing the videos, even if not too many people watch 🙂 I would hope that the videos help encourage people to go ahead and take up an instrument 🙂

@1stimestar Thank you 🙂

Me too damfino 🙂
I'm sure they do. I know that I would if I was looking for proof that one can learn such an instrument at a certain age and given a certain amount of time.
