I know exactly how you feel. I listen to FM and think " how long to get that good?
Then I remember, even the longest journey begins with one foot stepping infront of the other.
I am chasing your footprints.

Not sure about the timing, Mad_Wed, but excellent playing!  I like your vibrato and shifting to 3rd position.  I can tell you play with feeling.  Great work!   :)

I particularly like the way you handled the bow (in addition to the rest of the violin wink)

It seemed to me that the rests were too long especially after the bow lift.

I liked the first one better, the second one sounded too professional.

Beautiful!  My only criticism is the lighting.  You need to get a brighter bulb.  Otherwise very good.

I was going to comment earlier, but you are way ahead of me, and not qualified to criticize, or in other words, I am learning from you :-), and it looked like you played it very well. However, have you tried playing while using a Metronome? I am sure that would help your timing.

I am getting ready to do this when I practice. When I was learning the drums, a long time ago, the metronome was my best friend, specially, since the drums must keep the time and rhythm. Then, I learned to just count on my head, or I use my left foot to keep time.

I love Erich's criticism the best. "wear the cap to the side" ROFLMAOWOT
Like the brighter light bulb suggestion too.
We love your playing Naska.
First of all I think you know that your intonation is not always right on. Take a pen and mark those notes that are off and work on it some more. Remember that each and every note is important.
As far as phrasing is concerned. You are great at ending your phrases but not as good at going to a climax. Figure out which notes or spots are the climax of the phrase and go to those notes.

I'm not going to give you the good stuff because you are asking for criticismsmile

I for one love the way you take time between phrases. If you had more reverb it would have made perfect sense as an a-Capella.

Thanks, guys! =)))

About light - unfortunatelly there are no brighter bulbs in our stores anymore - forbidden by the law! (not joking).

I'll definitelly will continue my tries to play with the metronome, SirRuy! For now it looks more llike a struggle - me vs metronome LOL.

Thanks, MGN and Kevin! I knew that i screwed but couldn't find where particularly. I tried to count but couldn't. Can't listen and count at the same time facepalm. Counting is the hardest thing i've ever tried to do.. especially when i try to count to 3duncecap roflrofl

Thanks FiddlerMan! Dynamics.... and.... intonation..../wrote down in a working notebook/ =)

Thanks again to everybody! You guys are awesome and superhelpful!
