Hi everybody, today it's been exact 6 months since I first held a violin!! Since the very first day, it's been so much fun, a real adventure!!

Well today is a special day for me and my violin, so I wanted to share the 3rd part of the Concerto Opus 35 by Oskar Rieding.

Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed practicing this piece 🙂

Enjoying my violin adventure! :-)

Hi everybody! Woooow a month goes by so fast... this month I've been working to improve my left hand. I try to not touch the neck of the violin anymore with the base knuckle of my first finger. It was so hard to stop squeezing the neck of the violin. And I'm still struggling with it but it's getting better, I think. 🙂 Hope you think so too.
Here's my progress video after playing 7 months.

And since I am so crazy enthusiastic about learning the violin, I'm also keeping a violin diary now http://www.violinadventures.com (launched it two weeks ago) where I tell about everything I'm learning and loving about the violin!!

Enjoying my violin adventure! :-)

Your doing great!  clapI grab on to hard too and if I loosen up, my intonation goes off. For me it's pretty much impossible to let go when I play on the G-string.

It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself. Johann S.Bach

I visited your blog. It's really cool that you are doing that. Great job for such a short learning period.

As you probably realize, post your videos in the Critique Corner if you ever want critique, constructive criticism. 🙂

Can you link the post where you were given advice to swing your arm? I'd like to see that. 🙂

Thanks again for the post. I look forward to seeing many more!!!

Hi @Fiddlerman! Thanks for your reply! I guess next time I'll post in the Critique Corner because indeed I am looking for feedback. Next time I'll try something different, well at least different for me. I'll try a fiddle song!! 🙂

Here is the post you asked for about swinging my arm: http://fiddlerman.com/forum/cr.....t-video-2/ the second reply which is from BillyG is about this.

@AnnyJ, I too find it very hard to have good intonation when I don't grab the neck, but I hope it will get better. Thanks for your reply 🙂

Enjoying my violin adventure! :-)

8 months of playing the violin have past! 🙂 Having so much fun!!
Thanks to @Fiddlerman for your great sheet music!! I enjoyed practicing the Godfather theme. Wished my tone would've been a bit stronger but it was a bit hard still with the vibrato. But even so, I really very very much like to play this piece. 🙂

Enjoying my violin adventure! :-)
