You sound great. The kids were dancing around when I played it. Lukas thought his comment above was hilarious. And you are indeed much better than this his sister.

This music is a miracle ... ( not the music ) ...... I figured out why QuickTime would not respond to AUTO PLAY settings and I am willing to make this information available to the PH foundation for a very reasonable fee.

Meanwhile, the attached music is only some racket caused by my out of control neighbors.

This is my other piece but is approved by Lukas !

I like it very much. Did you do play the accompaniment yourself too?

Keep up the good work Oliver. cool

Hi, Oliver, I strongly agree with you, I'm practcing the basic now, but I can't give up playing songs because that's what keeps me motivated.

BTW, i can't access the piece Lukas approved:(

I like both of them, when I was a little boy, I used to make my dad laugh by singing "Hello,Dolly" Satchmo (Louie Armstrong) style. In later years I learned to do Carol Channing's version as well, but I don't want to talk about it...lol  rofl

Wow!  Carol Channing!  I Google-see  she is alive at 90 years old.

This should be Lukas approved.  May need your higher volume setting.

All three posts that Lukas approved showed as a blank window:(

Try reloading the page. I get blanks too and reloading usually fixes it.

@ David B.

Yeah.  Also found a lot on YouTube but I saw why she would be a complete failure today.  I was actually able to detect and understand the words to her singing !  That would never make it in this day and age (altho I must admit that I did hear words not too long ago from those Beatles people)

(Did not find Mr. President on You Tube yell

I think I saw it on Johnny Carson. I know it was long after JFK was assassinated, because I was just a baby then. Mom and Dad wouldn't let me stay up that late. I know it was in color. Not a lot of help, huh?

There's hope.

I had posted a rather dismal example of how bad I was playing because of trouble with bow markings and other strange signs.  I later thought this was a dumb post.  (and I was right).  I dumped the post.  After all this is a forum about violins and violin music.

So, I decided I would do the honorable thing and I cut out a few of the more "challenging" directions.  50/50 can't be too bad.

Then I also got my electric violin back out of I.C.U.   I really missed it.  It was touch and go for a while.  But now it has new strings and is just fine except the new strings go flat as I play .

So, to commemorate all this activity I figured the electric might like a chance at a post (I love my electric!)

In the midst of my recording sessions there were loud explosions in the distance followed by sirens and a short loss of power.  Better make the post while I candazed

So I'm going to post some music which is either Hello Dolly or my Xmas part.  Let's see.   (Later did EDIT test)

Bravo!

    Well done.

I think MGN is right about your recording, they have a warm vintage feel, almost like a vinyl  LP.

Not quite an Edison wax cylinder!rofl
