Impressive fingers!
I won't even bother asking for the sheet music though.
Btw, how did it get it's name?

I am amazed at how old people of my age are.....

Thanks :)

The name "perpetual motion" I think is just because there are no pauses in it. All the notes are of equal length, with no rest. Unlike most fiddle tunes which are full of tea breaks by comparison :)

I enjoyed watching Jim's thumb how he uses it to find his position on the fingetboard.

However terrific the performance in this topic, the fastest fingers ever might belong to FM.

Thanks for all your replies!

Actually, that tune is usually played quite a bit faster than that, by almost everyone. I personally like that speed (probably near my limit anyway).

Some of big names it so fast that the accents and dynamics get lost - not to mention the nice wee melody :)

Well, not saying the masters are wrong, just my personal preference.

ooohhh, I can use that excuse for why I play so slow!!! Of course, for it to be believable I need to work on my intonation... a LOT!
