Since I couldn't change the title of my previous post I started a new thread. I will use this to upload and update videos from now on. I have been playing since the end of Apr so about 8 months or more. I am following the Suzuki method and I'm on book 2 now.
Finally found a new teacher and she is great! Gonna try to learn Vibrato now too.
This song is Hunters' Chours and I did it with no repeats because I messed up at the end and didn't wanna do another take haha

Rodas, you've really made great progress. Sounding great. I don't know if I suggested Kevin Yen's youtube site, but he plays examples of almost all of the Suzuki book in a slow tempo as well as the correct tempo. You may already be familiar with it. He's a good resource at https://www.youtube.com/user/c.....astringsnc

So I tried wrist vibrato and it was really hard to get so I gave up. About 2weeks ago my teacher taught me arm vibrato and I’ve been working on it about 5min per day. This is the first time I played it in a song. I’ve messed up quiet a lot in the video, but I think it’s still progress so I’ll post it here.

I'm not an expert on vibrato by any means, but what I saw looked good. Violin isn't shaking too much, and the hand and arm motions match what I've seen players than clearly have a good vibrato are doing.
So I'd say you're on track and it just needs practice to be something you can do whenever desired.

This actually sounds fantastic! I have not started my violin journey just yet but I am also planning on using the Suzuki method as one of the ways I will teach myself when I do start. Hard to tell from one video but it seems to me you have passed that stage of unbearable playing (the stage where no one wants to listen.) I hope to sound this good at my 8-month mark. Keep it up and thanks for sharing!
