This might might help new folks to learn to read sheet music in a structured manor while enjoying playing some fun tunes ...as this book progresses and yer skills build the tunes get more complex ....

The tab under each line will help you get started playing right away but does not allways tell you when there is a string change ...you must pick that from the sheet as you go .

Hope this example helps get some folks started playing and reading sheet music at the same time ....by the way , this book comes with cd and or cd and dvd ...helps to be able to listen to a tune as you learn to play it violin-1267Have fun     Be happyIMG_2543.JPGImage Enlarger

Hey Ferret ,

Glad you like this ...The book is   Mel Bay's    You Can Teach Yerself Fiddling by Craig Duncan and is currently available   two versions ...one with cd only for about $15 and the other with cd and dvd fer about $25 ...i recommend the latter if yer just starting out or want max info .You get aprox 45 tunes ..

So here's pics of two tabs i wrote a year or so ago ....since then i have re-formatted by turning the page sideways allowing fer a full line of tab to fit on one line violin-1267IMG_2545.JPGImage Enlarger

without having to continue on the next line
