Congrats to all the players.

I personally think it best to not do one of these again. We have built a great following of fun, humorous, learning, and teaching group of players and admirers. I hate to see it break up or be hindered because of a contest. As noble and rewarding as it was intended, things like this seem to always happen. No blame to anyone, but warning to all. Lets just go back to our projects, our video posts and most of all our camaraderie of light hearted pokes and informative musical tidbits and queries.

Well I'm shocked!  I'm so ill-informed about computers and cheating ... I must've led a sheltered life.

I'm also very sad that people have had their feelings hurt and particularly that Barry feels he's been personally attacked.

I agree with Pierre, can we just move on?  Now that we all know the possibilities we can try to avoid these in future.

Maybe I should've voted for myself ... but on second thoughts I'm glad I only voted for the person I thought did the best job.

Congratulations to the winners!

not surprised how it turned out, same thing happened in the pet sing-along contest awhile back.

I demand an investigation. Naska doesn't even play a violin. It was all done with Photo Shop and Adobe CS. If you look real close, you can almost see the Tuba she's actually holding. Its been confirmed through the Kazan Herald newspaper that an anonymous tip from a witness going by the name Sergei has all the proof required to thwart the charade that Naska actually plays a violin/fiddle. ;)

Even in spite of all this evidence, Congrats Naska!!!   :)

roflol Tyberius, you're hilarious!

And Naska, you're great! Congrats on the first place!

Despite any sad faces recently, I think this contest was a cool idea and worked out for the best in the end. This forum rocks!!!

Well, nobody intended any badness and everybody was honest.  No harm, no foul in the long run.  Maybe we can think of a better way to do voting for contests of this nature in the future.

Maybe do the voting by email, and only allow votes by folks with 10 or more posts or something?  I think Barry was on to a good notion with requiring 10 posts to be eligible to enter.  I think that got a few new people involved that we got to meet.  Smart move, there.

Thanks, StoneDog! =)

That was a great fun idea of Barry. I just hope that we will do some more contest in the future, and hope, Barry will be back again. I don't know why we taking it all so seriously. I believe that there were no offends or any harm desired anyway!

Daniel suggested good things that we can consider next time and feel secure! =)

I agree Mad_Wed > it may have gone astray a bit but it was a good thing going > Being new around here > I was watching all of this and I thought it was SWEET to watch all of you players. It was one of the threads that hooked me onto this site. It was a motivator to me playing > Yeah, I was not ready for it > still can hardly play a note but it gave me inspiration to practice and learn > I hope Barry will reconsider cause the dude ROCKs. > He taught me how to have fun with it.

Glad you're back Barry. Spring is definately here. The horses are shedding their winter coats, the place is over run with chicks, there is mud everywhere and it's suppose to snow 8 inches tonight.

I'll be away for a bit myself. My grandson is graduating from his motorcycle school so it's off to Florida for the graduation and then to tow the trailer back to Pa for him. Aren't I lucky, I have the only truck big ebough to tow the trailer. Let's see 1100 miles at 14 mpg = 78.57 gallons of diesel at 4.17 per gallon $327.64 in fuel one way. Not looking forward to the drive but it's for my grandson.
