Hello everyone!

I love Hedwig's theme. I sure would like to have a group party/ play a long here.

Does anyone want to post their videos and questions for Hedwig's theme?

I've downloaded the sheet music and watched the video. Will have a go at it tomorrow. :)

I'm willing to try :) I've noodled around with it since he posted the video, so I might be able to squeak out an ok-enough take to share, haha.

I reckon that is doable, but I'm not ready for the camera yet.

The main challenge I'm finding is getting back to the normal hand position after using the 'wrong' fingers on those couple of notes. It's a problem to be overcome though. :)

I'm going to see if I can squeak out a recording today. If not then maybe this weekend :)

I too printed the music.  It is a bit different than the one I was using.  But I will practice for a bit and then we can all post.  How about we start posting by June 15th and beyond?   :)

I think its a great song. :)

If I can take a break from renovations and decorating I plan to give it a shot...   won't be for a few days though..  then a few days to get it OK... then... LOL - seriously, I'll have a shot at it -

I extracted the audio and have it playing on auto-repeat from time to time in the background while I'm sawing wood, plastering walls, hanging paper, painting, installing satellite, general re-wiring... need I go on... but - within a week I should have it "in my head" LOL...  then I'll have a go at it thumbs-up

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Ok, was a nice lazy day, so I went ahead and made a video for the party :)

I pre-recorded the audio, so my vibrato and bowing doesn't always match, haha. Oh well.

I have been working on that song, so I will give it a go also. Do we have to do a certain tempo, or just wing it?

Well done @damfino clapclapclap

EDIT: meant to add @intrepidgirl - for the tempo, or just to nail the phrasing you could clip the last minute or so of the audio from Pierre's video and use it as an in-ear play along...   hang on - I'll do it here and post the .wav sound file - here you go - could be useful for others -

....lol - did it as .mp3, seemed a better choice...

Thanks @coolpinkone & @BillyG :)

@intrepidgirl I did something similar to what Billy posted above, I just played the video on my headphones while I recorded the audio.

@Jim Dunleavy For better or worse (maybe worse) I skipped the alternate fingerings. It felt too awkward for me.

@coolpinkone and @damfino  Sounds good, that is what I was thinking as I was writing. Easy way to have a steady tempo too. Thanks!

This looks like a fun project! I'm gonna work on it over the next week and try to get a video ready to post. It will be basic and I may have a one year old holding onto my leg, but I'll give it a shot.

Usually this forum is not shy about parties. Is Hedwig's Theme too difficult?

I didn't think it was too hard. I did skip the finger change suggestions, trying it with the changes confused my brain, haha.

I'm working on it - I've basically got it, just need to get a bit more comfortable with it then get round to getting the camera out.

Definitely not too hard. :)
