I went looking on youtube for a little inspiration to dress up my simple "little tune" version and found this.  Oh gosh how I wish I could play like this!

thinking about doing another take without the backing track...didnt care much for it I may have suggested it, but you inspired it exactly

Fine, we're partners in crime, then. Glad I'm not alone.

I did a duet with myself! Sorry about the out-of-tune awful-ness in the first verse. Promised my mom it would be the last take.

Nice job, you guys. This is actually a tune I already know how to play. If I can find the time, I might put up my (probably poor) rendition.

Let the bow flow.

The point of a party is to have fun, fiddle chick. As you can see by my duet file, being spot on and perfect isn't a priority.

Good job guys and gals.  Makes me excited to see every one's songs.  It will probably be this weekend before I can get enough time to do mine.

Would love to join the party but I have got a bit too much on my plate for the next few weeks.

I have to spend all fo my playing time getting ready for a wedding.

But I'll be watching with interest. It's a great tune

Hey, great idea for a party! I've always liked RRV. Very nice performances Barry @Barry and @Panda-P .

Here's Fred T. @ftufc , Pierre @Fiddlerman and me playing RRV when we got together in southern California for the SoCal Jam in January 2013. What a blast that was. :)

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Very cool, @KindaScratchy. By '10 whiskeys' did he mean 10 shots or 10 bottles? XD

here's my rrv party contribution:  A verse for @RosinedUp with no fancy stuff, a verse with a few doublestops, a verse with occasional vibrato and gliss' . Sorry, @Ferret, they all have some analog delay effect.   (Only three whiskeys;  a lightweight compared to Pierre @Fiddlerman)  g

Lol I've been following Vi since I started this journey and had found this video right after I posted that other one.  I like this version the best.

Oh a party.  This will give me an opportunity to post a 10 weeks of playing violin sound sample, plus give me a chance to let you hear my new GCV Soloist.  All of the bad sounds can now be considered to be me and me alone, since the fiddle sounds phenomenal.  If you don't have one, you should get one.

Hmm. You'd have to ask him as I wasn't drinking whiskey (bleh!) that night. I noticed that he @Fiddlerman didn't address your question above...either he's pleading the fifth (no pun intended) or maybe he doesn't remember.

cheers rofl

(I'm only kidding, if course, as was he.)
