CPO, I was hoping someone would do that song.  Good job. Hope you feel better soon.

All the party people ROCK with what they brought > I enjoyed all of them.

@Georganne @coolpinkone @StoneDog Great job everyone!!

Well I gave up on my fancy pants attempts.  Truth be told I was ready to quit trying to record all together!!  BUT I have IRISH in me!!

I could not hear over my violin to play with background music.  So I decide to not play with the background music but my tenor recorder. Record my violin first and then add my tenor recorder.

So I am recording my violin and no matter where I played, it was a screeching miserable mess.  I even go back to the bathroom - toilet seat bolts tightened!!!

Then YEAH I remembered the trick Teach taught me, start the song on a different string!!  Instead of playing Si Bheag Si Mhor on strings A and D  I played on strings G and D.

WARNING this is loud, you might want to turn the sound down.

WOW!!!
I'm so proud of all of you :-)
Great job and fun to watch all of you.

John, you could easily turn that 2011 into 2014 with some whit paint or thread. :-) Wouldn't cost you that much. Also, are you using some kind of baroque bow. That tip looked long and skinny from what I could see.

Naska - Your right hand fingers are fantastic. I don't know if it is your teacher or that you are just a great learner but bravo. The only thing I would want from your video is some more light. :-) I could almost make out that you had blue hair and fingernails as well.

StoneDog - looks like you are having the same weather and scenery as we are here. :-)

Bravo to ALL of you!!!

@Fiddlerman

Pierre

Yes, that is a snakewood baroque bow. It has become my bow of choice of late because it is so light. It's only downside that I've noticed so far is that it's a tad shorter than the standard bow but it's no great problem. It's narrower bow hair doesn't seem to be an issue so far

@Schaick

Your Si Bheag Si Mhor was great. Thanks.

And once again, I thank all that joined in. It was a great party. Will have to do it again next year. birthday_ballooncheers

Thanks, Pierre XD!! I don't pay much attention to what my right hand is doing, i just try to make it to do what i want and sound like i want to... with a variable success though, LOL!laughbunny-headbang

Sure, John, I could do that. @Picklefish started the Fourth of July party last year but if he doesn't want to host it again this year, I'll do it.

At the very least, I can start promoting it! So, everyone, consider yourself invited: start practicing American patriotic tunes, fire up the grill and put on some hamburgers and hot dogs, and get the fireworks ready! We'll get together in early summer for a Fourth of July party (unless someone comes up with another party theme in the meantime).

sorry I didnt get one in for the party...I dont own a violin anymore, I tinker with LeeAnn's from time to time. Was going to do one but its in desperate need of strings,which I most likely have a set somewhere in my stuff crossedfingers

playing it woke up some old feelings, may have to get back into it when I can afford a violin again.

There is no shame in playing twinkle, youre playing Mozart
