@Shawrma2  can you repost to this thread? I just get a big black box that says something about the file not being the right format or is corrupt. :(

Yup, same here. If you post it to YouTube and link to it here, the video will play in a preview box right here in the forum.

You can set your video as unliisted on YouTube if you don't want the whole world to see it. Just don't set it to private or you will be the only one who can see it.

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

@Shawrma2  Welcome to the forum and how wonderful that you jumped into the SUMMERTIME Party.

I have been playing that tune for about 1.5 years now.  YOU DID a great job!!!  Very very nice.  Thanks for sharing.... It inspired me to get up and play the song IMMEDIATELY... I felt I must play it. INSPIRATION.

Welcome .. post often!

I sometimes hear my violin screech so I gave a look at the soundpost and this is what I found. What do you think should I do? Show it to my teacher?

Coming along nicely, as for the sound post, hard to really tell by the picture, so yeah, have your teacher check it

Do nothing about the hole,,,, that hole is there from the sound post setter. The sound post is set by using a tool, all / most sound posts have that hole.

As promised, Mrs. Ripton is off to work, so I grabbed "old scratchy" off the wall. Here's my submission for the summah pahty... or is this the Jingle in July?

For my Debut violin excursion...

Fear not, I'll never leave the dark fiddle...

Aha, managed to sneak in a few minutes online time !   Thanks for the posts @Shawrma2 and @Ripton - clapclapclap    If I'm really lucky and the weather clears-up a bit, I may get a chance to get an outside-recording done - playing to the hills, the sky and the fields...  LOL - fingers crossed for a dry day !

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

Thanks all!

Here is another one.  First part of the video is the Fiddlerman's version, then the Suzuki but in D instead of A and then I played in DDAD, dead man's  tuning.  I was wanting to do this more but have not.  Since I have 2 violins at present thought I would try it!!
