Love it Diane and FirstPancake. Can you post your transposed version?

I didn't really come up with a score for it, I just treated my C string as my "G" string, etc and read off Fiddlerman's arrangement as it was :)

@KindaScratchy - well Diane - thank you for allowing me to duet with your piece - it's appreciated - here you go - I get into step with you after a couple of bars !!!!    And I suppose I could have done another take but the Hungarian Grand Prix was about to start - what the heck gotta get priorities right!   Anyway - as a joint effort I would give it about an 8/10 ( for my part ) - hope it doesn't detract too much from your original work.... always room for improvement - here you are you partying folks - yes it's - Diane and Bill "in concert" LOL -
Thanks again, Diane !

This was wonderful!

Here's mine - the first time out for Rosie (my new fiddle!)

This was a good process for me - I don't play a lot of slow things.  Apologies for the framing of the shot.  You can't really see it but there's a cat behind me who periodically winces, which I thought was frankly a tiny bit unsupportive...  Still - you can see what I was trying to do.  A bit of vibrato would probably have helped me out here, but that's to come yet in the future..!

Hello all. Nice to see so many people taking part on this thread. :)

I've been having a go at Last Carnival this week, which is an extremely challenging peice so I have a few questions. It seems quite straightforward until bar 20. Does it change up to 3rd position at that point and then up to 5th at 24? Then I'm assuming by what's written on the sheet it does back to 1st at 34, 2nd at 39 and presumably ends in 1st? I can't quite seem to wrap my head around it. Haha

Thanks to anyone who answers. :)

Ok I am going to try jumping in here.  I made a video with my new fiddle, which hasn't got much play yet even though I've had it more than a year.   I got it from ebay, won an auction for $246 US winter of 2014, just before my daughter got seriously ill. So it took a back seat for a long time, & then I had some ear and head stuff going on so I couldn't play for quite a while .  Whenever I hear myself on a recording, I think, do I really sound that bad! I'm just learning all over again how to do this (record as well as playing...Now hopefully if I just post the link, it will work.....if not, help!

Good job, Cindy. I like that last little chirp at the end.

Too bad you were away from it for that amount of time, but good work anyway.

Finally gotten round to making a video. Imovie crashed a couple of times when making it but this one should work. :) This is Oh God Beyond Praising taken from the Thaxed group project. It all goes a bit wonky in third position but yay playing in third!
