the added plus of doing a live sound check days before the show, is that until you do your first show it wont show you on the schedule board..which is important for others so they dont schedule over you.

We encountered this when Jasmine stayed with us..no one could find her upcoming show because she had yet to perform live, so we went live on friday for 10 minutes so her show on sunday could be found in the schedule

@Barry Schaick shows up on my calendar with a scheduled show, too. So we have 5.

Edit to add link to Schaick's StreetJelly profile http://www.streetjelly.com/Schaick

Well spotted Mandy - I don't see @Schaick in the actual "schedule", but the next scheduled performance does appear in Schaick's profile - it ALSO appears in the "Calendar" view - BUT - it's scheduled at the same time as @Barry  - I guess one or other of you didn't notice, or was un-aware of the other....

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Weird, when I scheduled Barry was not on the calendar!! I'll change my time.  So more than one person can be performing at a time.

Who is ianindierex in the 4:00 spot?   I don't recognize him as a part of the Fidlderman family!!

K I changed my time to 4:00.

- I was just concerned about it LOL !  All cool !

Yup as far as SJ itself is concerned, any number of folks can be online at the same time, but for a group-get-together so we can all tune in to each others shows - sure -we just select different time slots.  Overlapping someone else ( like ianidirex ) who's not a part of the our get-together isn't an issue - it's up to the viewing public to choose who to watch !  drummer

@Schaick Do you use an external mic?

I keep meaning to do another quick test so I remember what I'm doing on Sunday, lol. I'll have to do that sometime this week. I have a second hand webcam to hook up so I can have it on a tripod and keep my computer closer to me so I can read it without sticking my face up against the screen/camera, lol.

I have a camera with a video but the battery runs down very quickly which may be a reason why I stopped taping.   The battery is always on the charger and a pain.  But how in the world would that hook up to StreetJelly??????

I really only have the laptop camera.  Well guess what I tested again, now no picture.

Also I tried using my ear buds and then hubbys earphone - nothing.

Oh My Goodness.  I got the picture and sound up, BUT I swear there are phantom people talking in the background!!  I am home alone with no TV or radio on.  There is also a 3rd and 4th violin echo!!  I understand about the delay.  But these are echos after I am done playing and the test screen is done playing.

Well I got to laughing so hard I laugh snorted!!!  I just know it was those StreetJelly people talking which made me get so tickled!!  LOL! Those people on the other side of that test screen.

I know they said they don't watch, but can you imagine how funny some of those tests must be?

In test mode it will pick up the sound from you playing and echo..it wont happen in the actual broadcast...so..just before your show, test mode to make sure you got sound and video..then make sure you turn your play back volume down on your PC before you broadcast

I actually managed to catch the show(s). It was really great! I love how supportive everyone is of one another. Beautiful!

I am so sorry I missed this.  Wouldn't it be nice to be able to be in 2 places at one time? Talk about multi-tasking!!!
