I am not sure if my mute is behaving normally. It does make the sound quieter, but it also makes it bassier. My violin feels like it's going to shake itself to pieces which make vibrato difficult.

My cap seems to have sustained some damage on the to of the bill. It's nothing major, everyone says that's how the cool kids wear them now days.

Overall I am satisfied, thank you Pierre!dancing

I can't read music, but I understand it perfectly.

Hey Dashrem,

Just so you know, the cap is not damaged. They call that the distressed look. It is made to look distressed, "vintage", worn….. They all have that.
Somehow it is supposed to be cool that way, like ripped jeans….
You are the not the only one to think so though. I should make it clearer on the website.
As far as the big rubber mute goes, that is true. Maybe I can send you a steel mute. What purpose do you need it for? Is it for yourself or for not disturbing others that are sleeping?

It's so I can practice when my little girl goes to bed. I saw a review for the big rubber one I bought and it seemed really affective in the video. Maybe it works that way because I have a fat, stock cecilio bridge. Hahaha

I can't read music, but I understand it perfectly.

Your observation about the mute is true. Mine does the same things with the sound. But it does not bother me… Sound have to go somewhere. If vibrations don't go outside then they go inside =)
