How about some help with determining what type of pegs is best as far as tuning goes.  Which kind of wood is best, for pegs ( ebony, boxwood, or rosewood)

Which one grips best

Which one turns easiest

Which one slips worst

and so on.dazeddunnoduncecap

Possibly Boxwood. But there may be different qualities even then.

I beleive boxwood to be the best but that is only if you have real good boxwood. Any of the woods came work well but it matters how tight the grain and how straight it runs that is considering all other things equal such as fit and polish.
