A Brand called Renaissance ????
Would anyone be able to help with this question please?
I have been trying to trace a brand called Renaissance. It is actually a cello, but not being able to find anything on it, I logically started to search it on violins too (which is how I was led to this nice forum :)) ) I figure that this mysterious brand would have to have been made available for violins too.
The instrument is said to be cc 30 years old. It came (purportedly) in its original hard case and had two bows with it. One of the bows has the "shimro"company;s mark on it.
There are no marks on the instrument, but there is a label inside. It says:
Renaissance
Specially Selected for Renaissance Music
Made in Korea
Made from Seasoned Germain Timber
Has any of you come across a violin like this, or a label like this, or could give me any insight on it, please?
Thank you so much.
