OK I have to admit now that I could just not bring myself to write on a beautiful violin with a Sharpie...(I know, it is already covered but couldn't do it). Even with a lovely silver Sharpie 🙂

Hello again!

Well, I did a little demo / technique / tune show on streetjelly.com, last Sunday, 21st May, playing the Traveller.

Bill (Shooter) Gunn recorded it, and it is here :

Yes, In response to some comments made during Worldfiddlers performance, we made a new bridge, sound-post and changed the strings to Kaplan Amo strings. 🙂

Great job Jim, and thanks for posting the video.

Is there a reason for having a password?

Hi Pierre and gang,

Thanks for watching.

Pierre - I used Vimeo this time instead of Youtube - only because of some trolls on Youtube who seem to have some sort of grudge against either me, or the way I play.

I'm not particularly bothered by the trolling, but it's so time-wasting!

So, passing out the video to the people connected with the project is fine, and using the password helps to restrict the video's circulation to the wider "world". That's all 🙂

I put my trust in anyone here who wants to share it.

You're welcome Dennis !   I just thought that not only would Mr Jim @worldfiddler give a great technical chat about both the fiddle and technique, but also there are so many avid followers of The Traveler, who, like yourself, might not have been able to tune in - so with Jim's permission that's what we did - and it goes down for posterity in The Traveller's journey!   Cool !

@Worldfiddler I hope you know that I watched your show and I also play it in the car when I am driving.

I love to hear you play and your show was wonderful.  Thank you so much for sharing Dear Mr. Jim.

Cheers.

The Travellor successfully changed hands tonight. It was good to catch up with Mr Jim at the Buxton Fiddle Hell. Cant believe 2 years has gone past since we both last attended.

As I havent been playing much recently, any videos will probably be more if me catching up on some much needed practice as much as showing off the Travellor in such places as Stratford on Avon (Shakespears country) and any other local beauty spots.

we're in the middle of summer now so it should be light until between 10 and 11pm. Depending on the cloud cover so I will try and do some outdoor shots.

Luckily, it only rained twice today. Once all morning and once all afternoon!!

I was born with nothing,
and to my surprise I still have most of it left!

Woo hoo! Thanks for keeping us posted. Looking forward to seeing videos of her travels with you. Don't forget to sign her and get a code from Pierre to pin the map.

Happy to hear that she is in good hands and the hand off sounds like a perfect way to pass her along. I look forward to hearing about it and hopefully some pictures and maybe a video. <------ No pressure. Just if you feel like it. 🙂

Have been invited to a jamming session tomorrow night with a couple of guys who want to rekindle their English folk group but need a fiddler. Hopefully there will be some way if recording part if the session as I will be taking the Traveller with me to show it off

Hello all... I so love that the Fiddle is having such a wonderful overseas journey.  I have truly enjoyed seeing all of this.

@Fiddlerman I love the map!!!

@TerryT I am so excited to hear and see you play the violin.

Warm fuzzies and thoughts.

What a great adventure and journey.

Cheers, Toni
