OK, I guess this is the right thread for my neck of the woods (Kansas).

Here is a link for area happenings, including the Prairie Pickers Festival in NE Kansas. Apparently they only update the website once or twice a year.

January 1: KPPA New Year's Pot Luck and Band Scramble. Start eating at 1 p.m., doors open around noon. Bring a main dish and a salad or desert. The Club provides paper plates, cups, napkins and plastic ware, and coffee/tea. Enter name for band scramble noon to 1 p.m., with names drawn form groups at 1:30. Fun to follow.

February 17-18: 23nd Annual Wichita Winter Bluegrass Festival. Featuring The Grascals, Charlie Sizemore Band, Bull Harman & Bull's Eye, Driven, Brightwater Junction, Misty Mountain Revival and more.
