I would like to appologize for all the Database Errors that have been occuring the past 3-4 days. Our site has expanded quicker than I expected and I need to explore new options for the future as I am fairly certain that we will be expanding continuously.
Unfortunately because of the database errors we are getting fewer and fewer visits, down from 1200 daily to over 600. For this I am very sad though I believe it is just a temporary setback. The errors are due to a network storage issue at my current host. I am exploring options for moving Fiddlerman.com to a much quicker and more reliable host in the future but for now I must deal with the current problems.
See below the explanation from our hosts:

We are shifting things around on the storage network, we have a second storage network we put in place and have been balancing load between the two but it's an ongoing process. Once we are finished we believe that reliability and network speeds in general will be much better. We expect to have that complete this week, if there are still problems with your database after that point it…

It's great that your site is expanding so much.
I'm sure your regular members will have a bit of patience until everything is sorted, and new members will see the benefits.

we totally understand and ever since it started happening, I (as well as others) have been spreading the word to fellow members and anon posters as well on the shout-box that this is only temp. and will be resolved soon and to not be discouraged.
I'm sure everyone else will understand... or they won't...

I'm still switching hosts this week. The site will be down for an unknown amount of time while it points to the right DNS but hopefully you won't even notice. After that it will be on a dedicated server and hopefully fast as lightning.

Yes Naska, Those 3-4 days with all the errors were torture for me. I lost a lot of views too. I can see a big difference on my analytics. I am anxious for a big speed difference and much fewer problems in the future and above all being able to talk to someone at the hosting site.

All good news. I work quite a bit with different software for work. I thought maybe it was related to a server error, at first I thought maybe was my new computer but I wasn't having issues on any other site.

OK,
A little update.
I moved the whole site to a better host. Almost a dedicated host though I am sharing with my brothers sites. We should be much better off now.

You should now notice a greatly increased speed on the site and forum. The forum is now on a dedicated server.
